Beside the Sea
About Karena
Karena is an occupational therapist and family systemic constellation practitioner.
Karena utilises her occupational therapy lens with individual children and families, teachers and caregivers, to support a child's therapy goals and developmental needs within the natural setting of home and community.
Using her family systemic constellation lens, Karena provides a welcoming space for a therapeutic experience for adults and mature children in individual counselling sessions or a small group setting. This work looks at issues that may feel stuck, stagnant, or persistent in a family or other system that may respond to the phenomenological lens.
Karena is committed to welcome and support you with a sensitive and gentle presence, and with curiosity, compassion and joy for the journey.
Karena has a background of working and volunteering in health, educational and community settings, and holds a Bachelor of Arts, General Nursing Certificate (RN) and a Masters of Occupational Therapy Practice.
Karena has previously completed certificate training in supporting children with disability and learning difficulties in schools, and supporting their teachers. Karena is currently completing Holly Bridges, Anxiety Reframe Technique (A.R.T) Express Somatic Practices for Alignment and Resilience (Complete Course Plus).
Karena has for 20 years been gaining both personal and professional experience in Family/Systemic Constellation Work Training and Master classes with Australian and International Master Facilitators.
